We're going with a theme this week. Here are five sites where you can get some free short stories.
1. Gothic City Press publishes a weekly flash fiction story in the Gas Lamp section of their site. Give it a look if you like short, dark fiction.
2. Story Shack Magazine is an online site with daily flash fiction and art. I'm a little partial to them, since they published one of my stories last year.
3. 69 Flavors of Paranoia is an interesting site to say the least. They've got short stories, reviews, and art, in addition to a unique look that is really worth checking out.
4. Pseudopod is a horror podcast site that adds a new short story every week. It's good for writers to listen to fiction every now and then.
5. And finally, you've got to check out this awesome archive of free horror short stories from classic authors such as Lovecraft, Poe, H.G. Wells, and a ton of authors you've probably never heard of: Classic Horror Short Stories
All good stuff, especially when it's free.
