Another week has gone by way too fast.  I had a pretty productive week at work, but not so much on the writing front.  I'll make sure to make next week count.

But enough about me.  Today it's all about five links to read over the weekend.

1. Here is an interesting concept. Using the idea that agents and editors will often reject a manuscript after reading only the first page, Ray Rhamey critiques the first page of Invisible by James Patterson and David Ellis on Flog a Pro: would you turn this bestselling author’s first page?

2. Bruce Van Horn has a guest post at TheIronJen looking at how to deal with fear and uncertainty when it's most important: I know you’re scared. Do it scared. I know you’re unsure. Do it unsure.

4.  Back to writing, how often do you go through your WIP folder and wonder if it's time to throw in the towel on a couple of them? This post by Victoria Grefer has some great advice in her post Time to Scrap Writing a Project?

5.  Finally, this one isn't a post, but a link to a site: Freelance Writing Jobs is a site with an updated daily listing of freelance jobs.  Give it a look.  Maybe the dream of writing full time is still achievable.
